Multiple locations in Mexico
2015
A large scale refurbishment plan was issued for the libraries of Tecnológico de Monterrey’s campuses across Mexico. The purpose was to transform part of the libraries’ traditional layout into a more open and flexible space to allow collaborative-oriented learning. This new space would be called the “Learning Commons”. Our office was assigned to carry out this task, and a total of 23 projects were made. I was able to participate in the design of several of them.

The projects include a flexible and a private collaborative area, and a services area. A bright and contrasting color palette was chosen to differentiate the learning commons from the rest of the library, and movable furniture would allow reconfiguration.
